The most secure place for your company's data is a machine you control, in a building you control. That's the whole design.

Your data never leaves the building

Documents, questions, answers, and accounts are stored and processed on your box, on-premises. Nothing is sent to us or to any cloud AI provider. There's no vendor database to subpoena, no breach headline to be part of, and nothing training someone else's model.

The AI runs locally

The language models run on your box's own hardware through the open-source Ollama engine. Prompts and files are answered in place — they're never shipped off for processing.

Role-based access, per person

Every employee gets their own login. Administrators define roles, and folders, chats, calendars, and team rooms all enforce them — sensitive files stay with the people who should see them, and access can be revoked instantly.

What (little) leaves the box

Only two optional signals, both visible in Settings: a periodic licence/update check (software version + licence number) and, if you enable a custom web address, your box's local network address. Never document contents, chat text, file names, or usage details. Optional Web Access sends only your search words — never your files or conversations.

Works even if the internet — or we — disappear

Because everything runs locally, an outage doesn't take your AI down, and no company can switch it off or hold your data hostage. It's yours.

Backups & recovery

Your box backs itself up to its own storage automatically; we recommend keeping a copy elsewhere too. Admin account recovery uses a one-time code you generate from your own account — we never see or set any password on your box.
